A fertilizer platform built for better nutrient timing.
Reform Bio builds conventional slow-release fertilizers and organic enhanced-efficiency fertilizers designed to improve nutrient retention, timing, handling, and crop availability.
THE PROBLEM
Current fertilizers work. However,
current systems waste too much.
Conventional fertilizers can make nutrients available faster than crops can use them, leaving more opportunity for loss through leaching, runoff and volatilization.
- Nutrients escape. Major cereal crops have historically recovered only about 30–50% of applied fertilizer nitrogen in the first crop.
- Some SRFs leave something behind. Some controlled-release products use synthetic polymer coatings, including materials that can persist and generate microplastic residues in soil.
- Biologicals depends on biology. Nitrogen-fixing microbes are promising, but performance depends on crop, soil, weather and successful establishment.
- Manure is valuable, but imprecise. Its nutrient ratios do not necessarily match crop demand.
- Supply chains are concentrated. Fertilizer depends on globally traded resources and production concentrated in relatively few regions.
Better fertilizer should keep more nutrients working for the crop, use resources more efficiently and be made closer to the farms that need it.
THE SOLUTION
Fertilizer, Reformed.
Reform Bio builds a platform of conventional and organic fertilizers around one idea: control nutrient availability instead of accepting immediate release and preventable loss.
Nitrogen Reformed™
Conventional
Slow-release nitrogen fertilizer designed to improve nitrogen efficiency, reduce losses, and better align nitrogen availability with crop uptake.
N/K Reformed Organic™
Organic / regenerative
Enhanced-efficiency organic fertilizer designed to deliver more consistent manure-derived nitrogen and potassium with improved handling, nutrient uniformity, and retention.
P Reformed Organic™
Organic / regenerative
Enhanced-efficiency organic phosphorus fertilizer designed to separate and stabilize manure-derived phosphorus for more precise fertility management.
Phosphorus Reformed™
Conventional
Slow-release phosphorus fertilizer in development using engineered biochar to retain and regulate phosphorus availability.
BUILT FOR AGRICULTURE
What makes a Reformed fertilizer different?
Dry, pelletized fertilizer designed for the systems growers and retailers already use.
- Less nitrogen lost. Designed to keep more of the nitrogen you apply available to the crop, instead of losing it to the environment.
- Single-pass potential. Designed for one-pass fertility programs where agronomically appropriate, reducing additional application trips.
- Engineered delivery. Designed to retain nutrients and regulate release.
- Carbon built in. Durable biogenic carbon is incorporated directly into the fertilizer.
- Regenerative slow-release fertilizer. Dry, pelletized fertilizer powered by our proprietary biochar-based carbon delivery platform, replacing the synthetic polymer coatings used in traditional slow-release fertilizers.
- Predictable organic enhanced efficiency. Concentrated manure-derived nutrients in dry pelletized form, with separate N/K and P products so growers can apply each nutrient independently.
